By David De Gea, Goal.com The former Manchester United defender has made just 12 appearances for the Gunners in his five-year spell at the club.
But despite his disappointing spell, Camp has been rewarded with a move to the Red Devils after being offered a new four-year deal by the club and is keen to repay the faith he has received from Arsene Wenger.
Camp was one of a number of players who were targeted by Wenger in the summer transfer window after failing to convince the club that he would make a good fit at Arsenal.
Wenger was reportedly keen to bring in a defender with experience and a similar profile to his former club, as he was one to admire at Bayern Munich.
It is hoped Camp will join up with the Red Devil in time for the 2016-17 season.
He will now have to compete with young Gunners prospect Jesse Lingard and former Arsenal captain Tomas Rosicky to get a place in the Arsenal side.
Camp is one of the players Arsenal could be targeting in the transfer market.
